On June 18, 2018, the National Institute for Economic Research, in collaboration with Inspiro Consulting, organized the training session entitled “The Functionality of Local Action Groups” – an activity within the international project ” Let’s Rock the Central, Eastern and Western Europe with Transnational Local Action Groups” funded by the Visegrad Fund and implemented by the National Institute for Economic Research.
The training session was organized in Calarasi and met representatives of the Local Public Administration (Calarasi town, Sipoteni and Niscani villages), business environment and civil society.
The event was opened by Mr. Victor Ambroci, Deputy Mayor of Calarasi, who mentioned on the importance of training in the context of increasing the capacities of the community in Calarasi, in order to capitalize the existing human potential and the sustainable development of the localities within the district.
The training session was led by Ms. Jela Tvrdonova, a representative of the University of Nitra, Slovakia, an international expert with wide experience in the creation and activity of LAGs, who spoke about the experience of the Visegrad countries and facilitated some activities which have enabled stakeholder identification in the creation of a Local Action Group.
The purpose of the training session was to familiarize the participants with the functionality of the LAGs and the replication of the knowledge gained within the community (Calarasi town, Sipoteni and Niscani villages).
